Custom Metal Signs & Nameplates from Longtian: custom metal signs and nameplates for museums, scenic attractions, enterprises and universities. Our MOQ starts from 50 pcs. Sampling usually takes 5–7 days after the digital proof is approved; mass production takes about 15–25 days after sample approval. Price depends mainly on metal, size, lettering method, finish, mounting and quantity; we do not publish a fixed price list — each project is quoted from your artwork and quantity. Sample and mold fees are quoted per design. Payment is T/T 30% deposit and 70% before shipment (PayPal for samples); trade terms are EXW, FOB Shenzhen or DDP by quote. An NDA is available on request.
Metal signs and nameplates carry a name, logo or room title in a durable finish, which museums, companies and venues use for wayfinding, branding and equipment labelling. We handle the design proof, sampling and production, then pack for export.
Crafts and processes
- Stamped or etched metal plates
- Die-cast badges used as door or desk signs
- Laser engraving and CNC cutting
- Anodised aluminium plates
- Adhesive, screw or magnetic mounting
Nameplates and signs start as flat or low-relief metal. Text and logos are etched, engraved, stamped or printed, then the plate is finished and fitted with mounting holes, adhesive or magnets. Outdoor or industrial plates may need thicker metal and tougher coatings; indoor donor plaques can use finer finishes. Legibility at the viewing distance drives size and letter height.
Wayfinding and donor plaques are read from a fixed distance. Tell us that distance and we will recommend letter height and contrast. For bilingual plates, both languages should share hierarchy so neither looks like an afterthought. Variable data such as room numbers can be produced in one batch from a spreadsheet when the layout is locked.
Materials
- Brass, stainless steel, aluminium or zinc alloy
- Anodised aluminium
- Etching, engraving, stamping or UV print
- Adhesive, screw mounts or magnets
- Optional colour fill in letters
Stainless and anodised aluminium suit damp or outdoor areas; brass suits warm indoor plaques.

We size text for the viewing distance you specify.

Design tips
Supply exact wording and a vector logo. Mark which lines are more important if space is tight. Confirm indoor vs outdoor before choosing metal. Supply mounting surface details (glass, wood, painted wall) so we choose adhesive or screw mounts correctly. Keep a spare plate in inventory for future rooms with the same naming system.
What affects the price (no fixed list)
Price is quoted per project. The main drivers for metal signs and nameplates are material and process, size, finish detail, packaging and quantity per design. Sample and mold or setup fees are quoted per design. We do not publish USD prices.
Files and details that help us quote
Please include: artwork or reference images, preferred size and material if known, quantity per design, target delivery date, destination country and packaging preference. If you have a target retail price, share it so we can suggest a suitable process.
Quality checks before shipping
Finished pieces are checked against the approved sample for outline, colour, plating or paint, attachments and packaging before cartons are sealed. Tell us if you need photos, videos or a third-party inspection for larger orders.
