Custom bookmarks

Shenzhen Longtian Cultural & Creative Co., Ltd. is a Shenzhen cultural and creative products company that designs and manufactures bookmarks for museums, scenic attractions, enterprises and universities. A bookmark carries the visitor experience back into daily reading, so museums, libraries and universities use it to share patterns, calligraphy and architecture in a slim, giftable format. We handle the design proof, sampling and production, then pack for export.

Crafts and processes

  • Chemical etching for fine filigree patterns in brass or stainless steel
  • Stamping with enamel or printed colour
  • Hollow-out (openwork) laser cutting
  • Plating in gold, silver, rose gold or antique finishes
  • Wooden and paper-craft bookmarks for lighter budgets

Metal bookmarks rely on fine lines, so chemical etching is the backbone of the category. A photo-resist film is printed with the pattern, exposed onto brass or stainless steel sheet and then etched so that open areas dissolve and the lattice remains. The result is lace-like work that would be costly to cut mechanically. Etched blanks can be plated, coloured with soft enamel or printed, and edges are polished so that they do not catch on paper.

For thicker designs or embossed text, stamping is used, while laser cutting handles one-off shapes, small runs and wooden or acrylic versions. Paper and card bookmarks are printed in full colour and can be finished with hot foil, embossing, die-cut outlines or a ribbon. Many museum shops combine both: a metal hero bookmark at a higher price and printed versions of the same pattern as an accessible add-on.

Materials

  • Brass: etched or stamped, warm tone, takes gold and antique plating well
  • Stainless steel: etched, durable, bright silver finish
  • Zinc alloy: die-cast for clip bookmarks with relief heads
  • Wood and bamboo: laser cut and engraved
  • Paper and card: printed, foiled, die cut
  • Accessories: silk tassels, beads, small charms, ribbons

Brass is the usual choice when a bookmark should look like jewellery; stainless steel suits brighter, modern designs; paper versions help hit a low price point or extend a theme across more items.

Sizes

  • Flat page markers are commonly around 100–130 mm long
  • Clip-style bookmarks are shorter, with a decorative head
  • Width is set by the motif, typically narrow enough to sit within a book
  • Metal thickness is kept thin so pages close neatly

We check that hollow patterns keep enough connecting metal to stay rigid; very delicate lattices may be adjusted slightly on the proof.

Packaging

  • Printed paper sleeve or card with story text
  • Velvet pouch for premium metal pieces
  • Rigid gift box or folder for sets of two to four
  • Clear window box for retail display
  • Protective film on polished surfaces during transit

Because bookmarks are flat, a card or folder carrying a short explanation of the original artifact or calligraphy adds a lot of perceived value at little cost.

Customization options

  • Tassels, beads or charms
  • Engraved or printed text on the reverse
  • Gift sleeves, cards and boxed sets
  • Multi-piece sets themed around one collection

Who orders them and why

  • Museums: reproduce a textile pattern, bronze motif or painting detail.
  • Attractions: skyline and landmark bookmarks for gift shops.
  • Enterprises: reading-themed client gifts and conference packs.
  • Universities: library and campus architecture bookmarks for graduates.
