Gold starburst medal with a crown and crossed-sword details

Shenzhen Longtian Cultural & Creative Co., Ltd. is a Shenzhen cultural and creative products company that designs and manufactures medals for museums, scenic attractions, enterprises and universities. A medal marks an achievement, so the design, weight and ribbon have to feel worthy of the moment, whether it is a race finish line, a company award night or a university sports day. We handle the design proof, sampling and production, then pack for export.

Crafts and processes

  • Zinc-alloy die-casting with 2D or 3D relief
  • Soft or hard enamel colour fills
  • Antique, matt, shiny and dual-tone plating
  • Spinner, cut-out and glitter effects
  • Printed or woven ribbons

A medal is usually die-cast in zinc alloy from a steel mold engraved to the approved artwork. Designers decide early whether the design is 2D (two or more flat levels) or 3D (sculpted relief), because this sets the mold engraving. After casting, medals are trimmed, polished and plated; antique finishes are created by darkening the recesses and polishing the high points, which brings out sculpted detail. Colour is added with soft enamel, transparent enamel or printing.

Brass or copper can be stamped for flatter, heavier medals and for commemorative pieces. Special features include cut-outs, spinning centres, bottle openers, glitter and glow enamel, and two-part designs that slot together. Ribbons are commonly printed by heat transfer so that names, dates and patterns can run along their length; attachment hardware is chosen to keep the medal hanging straight.

Materials

  • Zinc alloy: die-cast, ideal for 2D, 3D and cut-out shapes
  • Brass and copper: stamped, heavier commemorative medals
  • Iron: economical stamped medals for large events
  • Plating: gold, silver, bronze, antique gold, antique silver, antique bronze, black nickel
  • Colour: soft enamel, transparent enamel, printing, epoxy
  • Ribbons: heat-transfer printed polyester, woven options on request

Zinc alloy is the standard for event and award medals because it captures detail at a reasonable cost; brass suits commemorative and museum medals where weight and finish matter more.

Sizes

  • Event and finisher medals are commonly about 50–80 mm
  • Statement or anniversary medals can be larger
  • Thickness is chosen with the relief depth
  • Ribbon width is matched to the medal size

We recommend sizes that keep text legible at the chosen relief depth and that balance on the ribbon.

Packaging

  • Individual OPP bag with ribbon attached or separate
  • Velvet pouch
  • Printed paper or rigid gift box with insert
  • Acrylic or wooden display case for premium pieces
  • Export cartons with separators

For commemorative medals sold in museum shops, a box with a short text card explaining the motif makes the piece easier to sell as a gift.

Customization options

  • Custom shape and thickness
  • Engraving or printing on the reverse
  • Sublimated or woven lanyard ribbon in your colours
  • Velvet boxes, pouches or display frames

Who orders them and why

  • Museums: commemorative medals for anniversaries and exhibition openings.
  • Attractions: finisher medals for hiking routes and city runs held at the site.
  • Enterprises: long-service and annual award medals.
  • Universities: sports meet, graduation and academic honour medals.
